One decent grayling approx 14” and one out of season brown trout, both caught on north country spider pattern.

All fish came from garlic flavour meat barbel came from middle of stretch

Strange day. We caught no fish in the morning except for a large, out of season trout weighing in at about 5lb, caught on a small tungsten beaded nymph fished deep in the head of a pool. After lunch the fishing seemed to really turn on and we took a number of grayling, all to nymphs. The "hot spot" was between 2:30pm and 3:30pm when all the grayling were caught.

Another lovely day at the Creel. Water still warm for this time of year so plenty chublets on the balsa.

The Oos trout were more active than the Grayling today. Tricky wading with the surface glare from the winter light on this rocky beat.
