A poor day’s fishing. River very clear and low, sun high and very warm. The only fish (chub of about 3.5lb) was caught very early on using luncheon meet.

A really tough day's fishing in less than ideal conditions , low water levels and bright sunshine . All fish caught on pellet and paste with a ground bait feeder . Swims a little overgrown but plenty to choose from if you know where to look . Barbel came from the faster water above the orchard early evening. Although the slowest day I have had on this beat still a fantastic day on a fantastic beat.
