A hot sunny day conditions almost perfect, a slight frost overnight then a hot sunny day. Considering its early April anglers that we could see were catching, myself I had 2 rainbow trout the first a very lean (underfed) trout of 2lb the 2nd a nice full bodied rainbow trout of 3 1/2lb.

Home now for a lamb dinner.

I was using float and had earthworms as bait.. Landed 2 rainbows

Lovely to be out again, on this bright, sunny spring day. The OOS grayling were definitely in a feeding mood, but the trout did show up later in the day. All fish caught on a GRHE variant, mostly from deeper pools.

Great to be fishing again!

Got t to Res at 8am only to find gate locked as my grandson is in a wheelchair the walk to waters edge was very difficult, there was on mention about this when I booked, other than that we had a great day. Nice to see that Rubish wasn’t as bad as last year.
