1 Trout

First time back this year, fished A470 side about 180 metres up from the dam took first fish on worm then second on a firefly spinner. Both fish in nice condition both about 1.5 pounds but not much fight in them. had bait stripped 4 times possibly by the crayfish annoying but kept me on my toes. A lovely day in beautiful scenery. Nice to have a chat with the Rangers too it’s been a while.

A nice day fishing some lovely fly water, no fish but enjoyable nevertheless, I'm sure I'll be back. (Thanks to Mick and Mark D for their kind guidance on where to fish as well!).

Nothing caught but a stunning beat.

Water was clean but deeper as usual. Sunny and windless day. I caught 2 trout (one brown and one rainbow) both fish regained their freedom as usual. everything was neat and clean around the lake.

2 brown trout 8>10 inches , deep in the slower water on size 14 PT nymph. A couple of good takes , also losing one at the net.
All fish returned safely. Great to be back on the river , although dry and sunny the wind still had a bite to it.
