Water had a blueish colour.

No salmon caught or seen today.Fly moving nicely throughout the beat at 1’ 3”, on a promisingly overcast day so a little disappointing. If any fish were waiting in the lower reaches for last weeks rain, they appear to have moved on through now. A possible speeding ticket on the way added to a less than perfect day.

Tried for the perch today,alas only the 1,did catch 22 chublets and 6 decent chub on chopped worm and groundbait,river in good nick,fished the bottom peg opposite the large house,a good days fishing.

Very quiet 1 rainbow 1500g around midday nothing after, left at 4.30 getting colder. Witnessed an incident where one angler had to contend with an off lead dog entering the water while he was trying to land his catch.
