Very enjoyable days fishing catching trout of 19" and 17" both on nymphs and lost a fish which I did not see but felt bigger than the 2 I landed. Any hatches were very short lived though I did manage 3 rises to a dry fly, landing one which I won't count as it was hooked in the tail.

A very slow day. 3 of us fished 8am until ~6pm and only caught 3 trout and 2 perch. And why this res is more expensive than Llwyn-Onn I don’t know but won’t be coming back in a hurry

Few salmon seen along whole beat but unfortunately we haven't managed to hook one.

2 anglers. A couple of trout on dries in the warm sun for around half an hour either side of noon. After that, clouds, a chilly breeze and occasional drizzle put paid to any further hatch and the trout stopped looking up. On to the nymphs and we found a few more trout and oos grayling in the faster bits of water. All fish swiftly returned. Some of the trout still looking a little skinny, but all v pretty fully spotted fish.

2 rainbow trout and 1 brown trout along with quite a few perch stopped counting the perch after a while. The brown trout was a superb specimen weighing around two and half pounds and along with the perch was returned to the reservoir.all fish taken fly fishing with hares ear patterns.
