Blanked. Plenty of great habitats but many stretches inaccessible. Absolutely poured down most of the evening. So not a great day but hope to return sometime.

First time on this best , arrived and headed off in the field upstream, towards far end of field is a deep swamp managed to loose both wellies getting very cross and muddy. Finally extracted myself headed downstream to a likely spot and cheered up by catching a couple in quick succession. Things really improved when fishing pal Greg arrived with a fab lunch washed down with black water. Headed downstream further but very inaccessible overgrown and shallow came back to start and six more fish came to a ptn. Very few rising. Good day out but limited fishing spots certainly for 2 anglers.

An excellent day on the Arrow at Titley. Not much rising but fish were taking nymphs below a dry fly, with larger nymphs fished through the deeper holes. I could have landed a few more fish except that I lost quite few for one reason or other. There were a couple of smaller fish but three of those landed were 12" or more, including the largest at 14" (see photo). This is a beautiful beat.

Lovely couple of hours on the river. Overcast and breezy but plenty of fly life on the river. Didn’t see many trout, just a couple rising once, and couldn’t tempt either. However nice stretch of river and will be back to fish again.

A pretty piece of water and although conditions weren't ideal a pleasant day. Having said that the continuous barbed wire fences all along both banks of the beat made access extremely difficult, the occasional stiles helped but a large amount of the beat remained unfishable due to lack of access. At times I even had to resort to crawling under the barbed wire in order to access a potential piece of water.

Water level allowed us to wade long stretches of the Beat. Very few rising fish through the day, so nothing was taken on dries. All fish secured using nymphs and spider patterns fished up and downstream, and all safely returned. A good day out !

Overcast day, very low water, which was not as fresh looking as normal, it was a bit sludgy brown. A lovely day though. With the lack of water there were few opportunities to actually fish, but this beat does feature some 'fishy' looking spots. Especially the large 'pool' where the Escley brook joins at the top of the beat.
Three beautiful WBT. One of a good'ish size for a small stream, about 12". One caught on nymph, the others on the dry.
