Lovely stretch of water, although levels were pretty low. Water very clear and weather was sunny and hot which I think resulted in seeing little activity on the water - i.e. no rises at all.
Small trout caught at the lower end of the beat in faster moving water, olive wet fly pattern.
Lovely location for a few hours fishing.

Unseasonably hot and sunny and the crystal clear water looked stunning. Fish were rising sporadically but hard to cover quietly in the clear conditions.

A sunny Autumn day at this stunning beat. The river was low and clear and sport was slow but we managed two good barbel, the largest 9.5 lbs and a 4lb chub and many small dace on maggots. Very good access to the river, the best we have seen on several WUF beats. Fish caught on meat or maggots on feeders with the dace being on trotted float.

2 Barbel, 1 Chub, 15 Other
