Difficult day but lovely weather and beautiful location no barbel but 6 nice chub from 3.5 to 5lb and large dace

River stabilising after the flash type flood. Plenty of Chub again.

Very poor day only 1 small trout was caught between the 2 of us and we stayed up there for the full day ? We were both fly fishing , hard day for very little reward.

Great fishing into dark.

Very dark coloured water following recent heavy rain.

River 2 meters above normal level and with colour running out, fishing method used ledgering resulting in two chub of 3lbs 9ozs and 2lbs 7ozs caught.

Second day on the Usk fishing the next beat down from Dinas. No Salmon caught. Absolutely chucking it down. River higher and more coloured than yesterday. Always a pleasure to fish these waters. Thanks W&U.

2 small brownies caught on dries. Lovely beat. River 3ft higher than when we fished last year.

River high but dropped and cleared enough to fish with the fly rod. Near perfect for me and I fished for several hours with every cast full of hope and expectation.
