River at good height and water reasonable colour, although very warm. Fished from 05.00 to 11.00. Saw 6 salmon out of the water, probably 2 or 3 fish, just potted fish letting off steam. No fish or bites. Canoes started coming though in groups from 06.00, which might explain the lack of bites.

Lovely summers day but the fishing wasn’t that good. Managed to get most of the fish from the fast water before it went quiet for hours.Caught rest of fish( chub) from slow water before we left late on. All fish caught on swimfeeder and pellet.

2 Barbel, 12 Chub

A beautiful hot sunny day in the Wye valley didn't bode well for a busy days fishing Fished a couple of swims that had produced well on the last trip but struggled for any bites. One 3lb barbel and one chub (5-8!) landed. Moved swims mid afternoon and were rewarded immediately with some rod wrenching bites from both mid river and the near bank. Hectic couple of hours provided 10 barbel up to 9-4 and 9 more chub! Fish fed constantly from 16:30-19:30. Pellet and boilie doing the trick!

11 Barbel, 10 Chub

River starting to show it's bones now. When we stopped fishing the main Rectory pool a fish rose, two minutes later another older fish rose,no chance of catching them. We moved to the Mill pool where I went to the very top of the run and a fish turned , covered it with a Geoff Francs work horse, and felt a light suck but not sure what that was. Last time on river for a while unless we have a lot of rain
