Excellent day, water up and coloured but clearing. Fished the peg by the farthest car parking spot.
Fished about 10 yards out with pellet on the hook over loose fed pellets. Bites came all day as long as I kept the food going in.

Fishing on Friday evening session for about 2 hours. It was nice sunny day and brilliant sunshine. People & dogs were swimming in the river. Wading was not easy due to the coloured water. There were plenty of Mayfly hatches, however no rising trout at all, again due to the coloured water . I’ve managed one beautiful browny by #12 Goldhead nymph.

Fabulous day - weather hot but bearable, river in perfect condition, fish obliging. Had a look at the upper section but swims a bit tricky. Fished the lower field and found plenty of swims, starting at the beach at the top end and finishing further down where we had the most luck. The whiskered ones were in great condition and fought like demons - all were rested well and strode off defiantly. The best were twins (or maybe the same fish) at 8 and a half pounds. Plus a couple of chub to 3 pounds. It was my mate's first visit to the Wye - needless to say he's hooked!

Only fished the Morning as conditions were difficult, being hot and sunny. Bites very hard to come by even though river had fined down beautifully after heavy rain earlier in week. Fish taken on meat and pellets.

Booked 2 days on 28th and 29th. I saw a dozen jumps in different pools. The heirag, the ferry, the head of spring pool, (a big cock fish jumping 3 times), leaning willow.
But it was a blank. I tried different flies and tubes, different depths, different angles. But nothing. Very frustrating. Nonetheless, I’ll be back soon.

Very warm and sunny with huge hatches during the day. Windy conditions made it challenging but managed multiple very small brownies and one of around 1lb on dry fly and 2 decent grayling (1 on nymph).
