River in good condition, plenty of coloured water, dropping. Hot sunny conditions not ideal and unsurprisingly fish came early morning and late afternoon/evening. Pellet feeder. Barbel to 9lb8oz, small chub and a couple of eels.

today was a very poor day... Yes, it was bright and sunny which fish don't don't like and very windy (upstream of course), but there was no hatch of fly and no sign of rising fish. My day is usually filled with my incompetence in having takes which I fail to capitalise on, but not today. There were almost no takes. I caught a couple of small trout, and again, there was no sign of salmon.

A bright, warm and breezy day with a good flow on the Wye with a tinge of colour too. We fished mainly 'upside down' nymphs, sometimes in a 'klink and dink' set up. We also switched to the dry in the evening. Most fish were caught in the streamy water but the larger fish came from the deeper water. There were plenty of fish wherever we fished and all fish were in great condition. The wading is tricky in places and we occasionally would have benefitted from having a wading staff but we managed OK without. A salmon fisherman shared the beat with us. He told us he'd hooked and lost a couple of fish and also saw salmon jumping. A great day's fishing.

River fining down but still with colour. Pretty ideal conditions except for full sun. Caught steadily and got a sun tan too! Felt like I would have caught more but had to leave late afternoon. No chub today which was interesting.

Scorching hot day, river carrying a bit of colour. Had two fish from the top peg, then made my way down to the rope pool where I had a further five plus some chub. Blockend with micros and 6mm pellet on hook, fished close in under the downstream bush.

A beautiful stretch of water. Only 2 of us made it but good access for 4x4 Very hot and water low, fished better early and late when the sun was off the water and meat proved best bait. First time on this section, we will be back. Far bank very busy with sightseers.

Only get to salmon fish the Wye once a year so was disapointed to see the muddy brown colour of the river. The level was ok. Tried spinning various lures all day. No sign of salmon. Still waiting for my first fish. Lovely beat. Well equiped hut. Always enjoy it.
