With such low water the fishing was very hard. However, we had good cloud cover and fish moved sporadically over the course of the day. We caught three small brownies on sedge as well as a large number of very small chub, rising indiscriminately to the same sedge in the early evening. A hard but satisfying day.

5 x trout 8-15 inches, Parachute Adams. A warm but cloudy day, rather humid. No trout showing in the deeper pools, but prospecting the faster runs brought some of the typical and very pretty 10 Arrow fish averaging 10 inches, plus one larger one as a very nice surprise.

Beautiful spot. 3 Barbel caught in the middle of the day on pellet using PVA bags too. Moved around a few swims until located some fish. Faster water swims are better.

Quite a cool day , refreshing breeze, pools 2’-3’ deep running to a couple of inches over gravel. No sign of any fish at all from 10.30 - 2.30 tried various flies not sure if the Brexit issues have put them off ????

River low and water warm. Oppressive heat. No fly life to speak of. No fish activity.

A morning session with light nymphs fished on a French leader into the heads of the pools caught a few fish. This was proper stealthy fishing, not putting my head above the vegetation. I saw a good number of fish, some of a good size, but it was only the ones in the feeding lanes that could be caught. The largest was 16" but very fat and strong with the classic pink flanks and black spot Usk markings. I saw one Mink which is the first this season on the Usk, I think the Otters are keeping their numbers down.
