Warm day with a lot of cloud cover, there were sparse hatches throughout the day and the odd Mayfly did appear. All fish taken on dries. The morning and evening were most productive, the afternoon very slow. Very little rising fish seen above the bridge to the top of the beat. All fish returned safely.

Due to a number of reasons that delayed us, we didn't arrive at the fishery until 8 in the evening and only had just over 2 hrs fishing.

Did 2 hard days for a total of 7 trout and one shad , Massive hatch of everything that flies on the first evening but only a handful of fish moving , odd !?

Lovely salmon of 36", fat as well, returned in good condition. Taken on fly, along with 2 shad. 8lb pike on flying C.

I didn’t arrive until late afternoon but the hot sunny weather and low river conditions made the fishing difficult. A few small fish rising in the evening to olive and mayfly spinners but no major rise despite a fair bit of fly life. A caught one small trout and rose a few more on a size 18 cdc grey olive pattern.
