One small carp, lovely pool, very enjoyable day

River conditions - water level very low, little bit coloured.
Method used- ledgered, bait used - 2 x 8mm halibut pellet

I am not sure whether this is is relevant.
I have seen male American mink with little roach or chub in it's mouth running along the river bank.

Only a quick visit 2 hours and 1 caught, 8" on dry olive fly

All on dry flies and all returned a very enjoyable day

Nothing to report no fish caught

Nice day fishing, fish taken on small nymphs and small dries

Barbel caught from amongst the weed off the concrete. 2 eels one of which was large 3 to 4lb.
Pump going as usual ! Level very low as expected. all fish were rested and swam off strongly.

Pleased with the catch given the hot and sunny weather and a low river. Fish were taken on meat and pellet from the faster and presumably better oxygenated water.
