Low and weedy. Fish fed late afternoon. Confused by sign beside footpath that says NO FOOTPATH !! Farmer has ploughed field to very edge so we had to walk down that.

4 Barbel, 6 Chub

No salmon, only 3 chub to 4lb on a hitched fly from the Island Stream. Saw fish early doors in the head of the Pipes but no joy

7 x trout, 9 x grayling to 16 inches. Surprisingly hard work, possibly due to a slight rise and peat coloration of river overnight. Almost nothing rising naturally.

A very nice piece of water, but down to its bare bones and seemingly devoid of fish and flylife today.

Had a good day but fish seemed to be shoaled up in one peg and my friend caught very little. Had 3 Barbel up to 9 lbs 11oz and 4 good Chub up to 5 lbs 3 oz.Caught Barbel on pellet and Chub on meat,river very low.

Could only fish an early morning session until 11:30am. Caught 2 Barbel best one 10lb 1oz it’s always good to get a double from the Wye.
