Despite river looking spot on struggled a bit. still with the biggest chub going 5+ we're not complaining !

2 eel's on luncheon meat no sign of the chub!, afternoon like a summers day weather still a bit weird almost the end of october!!!!!!

First time on this beat and what a wonderful day it turned out to be with the barbel feeding well against a back drop of autumn trees in sunshine.
Started half way down the beat and had 8 barbel during the morning, moved up to the top of the beat in the afternoon and caught the other 2 fish. All barbel caught on ledgered PVA bags of pellet with either pellet or 12mm boilie hook bait. Best fish weighed 8lb 12ozs.
River maintaining its higher level and strong flow.
I'll definitely be making a return visit to this beat.
