River was up and heavily coloured, two whole trees came down during the day plus loads of weed and other debris. Needed a 100g feeder and fished near side to hold bottom which was no issue as most swims on this section look better near side / middle rather than requiring a far side chuck. Stayed in one swim all day, line in at 11am after walking the stretch and baiting my swim packed up at 5.30pm. Two Barbel at 8lb, the big one went 9lb plus lost two Barbel due to hook pulls and caught a nice 4lb chub last cast. All fish to pellets or boilies. Beautiful area would go back great day.

What a lovely stretch of stream. First time on the beat and the level was up with the water coloured from recent rain. Visibly was 6-12 inches making reading a new river very hard. I shall definitely be back to try and my luck in better conditions.
Even having no idea what was under my feet, wading was very easy with regular styles over the barbed-wire fences.

Just a few cast while walking along the beat in the fading light with a long rod and leader set up as I'd spent most of the day fishing the Lypole beat, the coloured water making fishing slow. The new fencing has been done really well not just tight to the river bank but also fencing off small areas of trees where the the river forms tighter bends.

Great day at Whitehouse. 4 of us block booked this beat. We all fished the upstream field as the level was too high to fish the concrete walkway. Barbel to 9.2 all taken on usual pellets and boilies and one on luncheon meat.
Staying all this week at Falcon House B&B. Great place to stay. for evening meals we went to the Moon at Mordiford.
Excellent pub food.

Very difficult conditions today. The water level was rising rapidly and a lot of weed was coming down. I only fished till 13.00 as it became unfishable.

Arrived early afternoon and explored the top field as the river was rising and too fast further down. Moved around a bit and found the fish quite quickly. Fishing quite close in on feeder with boilies. Lost 3 fish due to hook pulls so should've had a few more really. All fish between 6-7.5lb. Fun afternoon/evening.

After being battered by wind on the Creel on the previous day it was a pleasure to arrive at Wyebank in calmer conditions with the river looking quite good.
It was slow going but the odd tentative bite was keeping us interested and we caught a couple of Barbel and Chub as the river started to rise.
Unfortunately the river kept rising...rapidly...We can put up with weed and debris but once whole trees are coming down.. the only boat traffic is ducks perched on floating logs...and your swim is knee deep in water you are kind of happy to pack up and go home..!!
Another interesting day on the Wye and all part of the magic...
