Had a good morning on the upper half of the stretch, fishing the duo but most of the fish took the brown Klinkhammer in the gravelly runs. The fish were mostly small, around 1/2 pound but one was a beauty of around 1.5 pounds. After lunch the river rose and coloured up, effectively killing off the fishing so I left earlier than planned. It was lovely to be back on this stretch and heartening to see the grayling in evidence.

Nice day ,a bit gusty at times but didn't impact the fishing. A bit slow and fish came out on pellet, maggot, and the largest barbel of 10lb 8oz on a huge chunk of luncheon meat.

The river was at a good height and reasonably clear - good fishing conditions.
A c 8lb salmon was caught off the lower ladder close to the end of the beat, and earlier a small grayling.

Parking no problem, Only two of the three anglers fished, illness. This is quite a small section with not many swims. Barbel caught with conventional feeder and hair rigged pellets, nothing clever. The Barbel on this section appear to be quite a small stamp of fish 4 to 5 LB

Arrived early morning following cold clear night with full moon. Fished Legg Meadow with feeder and pellet. No fish until afternoon when it clouded over and within two hours had 4 barbel on the bank to 5, 6.75, 8.75 and 9lb which was well worth the wait!

River high and coloured but clearing. Not a fish touched or seen we thought we might of seen a fish or two in 6 hours. As we were leaving we had the enjoyment of watching an otter on the far bank lazing around in the sunshine
