Interesting venue with rather steep banks, but luckily we both enjoy climbing, so we managed to get down to the waters edge. Our tactics were feeders loaded with Hemp and Pellet with either Pellet or Luncheon Meat on the hook, hence an Eel being the other fish. By the end of the day, we had had our best days fishing so far on the Wye and we will definitely be back to this beat. River was low, with a little colour.

Rained all morning but managed to catch 1 Barbel and 4 Chub on pellet. Despite getting very wet another very enjoyable day on the Wye!

Again a blank. Appears to be fish throughout the length but ignored my flies. Mick took water temperature at 68F and air at 62F..... could this be my reason for my lack of success?

Cool day with light rain. River at normal summer levels. Fishing slow and moving around to locate bites necessary.

Oh dear, never mind - another day chasing the elusive silver tourist, only to find that he's gone on holiday!! 2 decent fish were hooked and lost on a #14 double Connemara Black and a #14 treble Cascade. The promised overnight rain didn't happen, and that's all that's needed to freshen and stir things up. We can all come up with reasons and excuses, but at the end of the day, the salmon remains the King!!!!

Another great day on the Wye at Wyebank . Arrived at 6.30 and caught from the start on ledgered hinders elips pellets . Catch rate dropped dramatically when influx of coloured water came from 9.30 till 12.30 . We left at 2.30 after using all our groundbait . Raining most of the day . Back next year .
