What a fantastic place. I've been meaning to make the trip for a while having seen others' catch returns, and it didn't disappoint. 4 perfect, black finned wbt to the net but lost and missed countless more - if I was on a commercial fishery I would have been cursing my luck, but loved every second here. Fish were rising occasionally as the cloud lifted, but various wets - diawl bachs and zulus seemed to work best today.

Cilmery gauge at a little over 300mm. Mild and overcast with a hint of rain in the air. Fish were rising fairly freely today, to midges mostly. 12 grayling (mostly cock fish) to 15" and 3 trout of which the largest was 10". Most fish took a small rusty klinkhammer but the largest grayling rose to a deer hair emerger.

First time fishing this beat in the afternoon. Very beautiful & easy wading. Water was very clear but quite low. Had 2 bwt; one on Klinkhammer and the other one on black nymph.

Plenty of fish showing on the pools but I couldn't temp them. Every cast it was exciting as I knew I was covering fish.
Water it was low and clear Lovely day out.

Great day river low and clear and temps lower. Barbel to over 9lbs all caught on pellet and feeder. Started early but didn't fish past 6.30pm so I guess another feeding spell missed.

Unfortunately the fishing was not as good as two days earlier despite the little bit of rain we had had. However, the amazing bird life kept us entertained for the long periods in between bites. Our tactics were feeders loaded with Hemp and Halibut Pellet, with Pellet or Luncheon Meat on the hook. I still love this venue though!

Barbel were a good stamp, with two going over 8lb. I fished the Wood Creel stretch. The river bed is rocky so I lost few feeders and hooks. A nice stretch and helpful bailiff.
