3 Trout

Beautiful beat, and a fun hut. We didn't start until 2ish but the river was still quite angry then, dropping away as the day went on to a perfect height. V hopeful for Friday. Two good trout, and I am sure I was "bounced" by a salmon, and had something of size on and off later on.

After a late start due to car problems arrived at the river at one o'clock, river had risen overnight and now seemed to be dropping. Fished until six with one brown trout of about half a pound caught. No salmon seen but still an enjoyable afternoon in the autumn sunshine.

A very pleasant afternoon and evenings fishing. 3 Barbel despite bright sunny conditions all around 7-8lb

A very nice day fished feeder and pellets mid river bites were steady all day. will return soon.

Last day of David and Anthony's Wye holiday.
Unfortunately we could not get even get into the car park, the drop from the road to the car park is too steep and the cars bottom out on this, this fishery is only suitable for vehicles with good ground clearance
We had to park outside the fishery and walk all the way back and them down to the bottom car park to fish.
The fishing was steady today with David taking 5 Barbel and Anthony 3.
We have had great week generally with 75 Barbel between us and some great memories.

Nice beat although up stream end could do with some work as there are not many safe spots to fish. Expected a little better for the ticket price although we still caught well from both the shallow and deeper swims around the car parking area.

Fished morning only. Fine & warm, river up a bit after last night's heavy rain, but almost no fish showing.
Just one trout of c.1/2 lb from Escley junction
