River low, but steady hatch throughout the day. Wading was lethal as the bedrock was like ice, despite felt soles and studs. 8 trout all to the nymph caught throughout the beat. Very enjoyable if somewhat exhausting. Slept well! On a separate note, was slightly concerned to see the fields planted with maize. Does not bode well for soil retention if it rains hard.

Beautiful, varied stretch of river and we especially enjoyed the upstream half which was fished in the morning. Only two small fish to show for a lot of effort but we're confident we'll do better next time, when hopefully there will be more water and flow. Stayed at the excellent Cammarch Hotel, Llangammarch Wells which is only a few miles upstream.

Desperately low water levels. Hard fishing but managed a reasonable catch given conditions. Very little fish moving.

Overcast and no wind to speak of, river clear and low, again, but a good few fish showing. Fish came from the Heirag, Herons and Bridge pool gutter. The type flies used didn't appear to matter, nor their size - everything from a Grannoms #14 to size 10 Connemara Black. One very big fish, either a huge brownie or a small grille lost at the tail of the Bridge Pool Gutter - estimations of 3 to 6 lb. Some would say "character building"!!! Shortly after 5, the heavens opened and it was like a tropical storm - and we called it a day, a very good day.

Sunny start - cloudy and humid pm brought on a hatch of Olive Dun and then later a more reddy brown (possibly Claret Dunn). Only fished dry flies and 2 trout taken using Paradun Light Olive Millikins. Heavy rain stopped play and brought out a very busy Otter to put on a show as I was packing up. Beautiful spot.
