JW caught 6 wild carp on a feeder with sweetcorn as hook bait. Two were 4lb, one was 3lb and the other three were all 2lb each. Although weed didn't seem much of a problem I still managed to lose a float and a controller and only had one bite all day. We fished where the stream from the bog feeds into the lake when the water levels allow. Lovely day weather wise although the wind picked up in the afternoon and changed direction so it wasn't in our favour.

An afternoon session on this pretty and promising beat. Hot, sunny and low water with little flow so conditions not ideal. Saw one decent fish jump in The V, but no other fish seen. Excellent access, but I found it difficult to identify the exact point for the upstream boundary. Could a yellow post please be put into mirror the downstream boundary?

Yet another very small fresh 3.5 lb grilse on a small usk grub. Why don't they stop in the sea for at least another year?

Water was clear and shallow. We used halibut pellet to catch all fish. It was the first time either of us had fished the Wye. The Barbel were between 3 and 6.5lb. The Chub were between 0.5 and 4.5lb.
