River at a good level and weather good. After the long walk to the end of the fishery, had a very good day. Though the last swim very snaggy.
Caught fish throughout the day. Usual method of feeder tactics and pellet. Fish caught, 25 Chub up to 4.5lb and 20 Barbel up to 9.00lb. Very good day and thanks to the WUF

Very low water levels with limited number of pools holding fish. 7 fish caught, 6 trout and I think a roach. Probably lost another 7. All caught on a weighted nymph suspended below a balloon caddis.

Refugees from an unfishable Ty-Newydd. We worked our way along the west bank for a couple of hours after arriving - not an easy task. Little evidence of fish but plenty of rain, quite heavy at times. After a late lunch watching exhausted soldiers "yomping" down the track to the car park we resumed fishing in the west corner of the dam where the occasional fish was showing. We each landed a dark bronze 12" trout and had other near misses fishing a variety of traditional wets.

River high and very coloured - looked like Bisto. Practiced some various nymphing techniques but gave up after a while.
Not much hope of catching anything at all. Shame, my last trout outing of the year was a disappointment.

Fished for a couple of hours from dawn and managed to find a three good rainbow trout that took a spinner on very light tackle (I missed at least a couple more), we left to pursue other autumnal activities in the area (thus avoiding a profusion of bait fisherman who descended and surrounded us at about 9am) and returned for the evening bite, when I took one more for myself and saw my friends fill their bag limit too. Lovely fishing, helped by a slight temperature drop and rain the night before. We had to remove a carrier bags worth of rubbish thoughlessly dropped by the days anglers, which was rather sad.
