2 fish 1lb nymphing.

2 Trout

Spring is here at last! River full and coloured to start but fined down during the day. Experienced one of those March brown hatches to die for. Thousands hatching all in synch (what triggers it?), fish hardly know what's happening and in five minutes it's all over! Nine brown trout to 16" mostly on nymph. All safely returned. Great day.

Unfortunately the river was too brown and high to fish after the heavy rain the day before so the rods never made it out of the car!

All caught on spiders fished wet. River steadily rising following overnight rain and heavy rain in the morning of fishing becoming coloured by mid afternoon. No fish taken.

Only 2 but big fish. 2½lb and 3lb.

Fished for two hours using gold bead nymph. No fish seen and no takes. A little disappointing although weather cold.

Tree felling made vehicle access impossible. Likely to be so for about the next two weeks.
Fished fly & spinner. River high, good colour. Fishable.

1st fish 2lb, on a black shuttlecock, 2nd fish on a green gold head nymph.

Rained all day. Some movement first 2 hours. 2 nice fish taken, 12/14ins. Harry thom/use nailer. By lunch time water rose coloured up.no further movement
