Beautiful spot easy to access, and plenty of swims to choose from. Most swims very pacey and you do have a private club fishing the opposite back, but they seem very friendly. Lots of good chub bites came all day from all the swims I fished. Just be warned, parking is very limited as you can't park in the middle car parking area due to the field full of cows so only 1 parking space at the bottom end of the beat.

Managed one barbel just over 8lb on what was a challenging day. Lovely stretch of river but I would challenge WUF when they state its a mile of fishing when in fact you will struggle to fish the vast majority of the stretch due to sheer drops into the water or totally overgrown and not accessible.

What a fantastic day, took my son fishing, he has been fishing only a couple of times, but today he started off with a lovely Barbel on the second cast. By the time my uncle and I were set up he had already caught 3 Barbel. I decided not to fish until after lunch and just enjoy some father and son time. I was Mr landing net.
In fact after my son had caught 13 Barbel, he asked, no pleaded with me to take over as he was shattered and his arm ached. I added another 12 Barbel, all on Pellet, some feeder and some ledger.
A Red Letter day, the river was falling and the scenery fabulous. A wonderful day, thank you WUF.

Great day on the beat. 21lbs 8oz coloured cock fish from Tail of Rocks for my friend Gary Bright on a very sparse yellow flamethrower. Several suicidal brownies to a 1lb on the same plus a Shad on a red shrimp fly. Lovely beat, we hope to come again.

Fished early and late but to no avail. Fly and spinner. No sight or sign of any Salmon whatsoever. Enjoyable mid day break with trout including two fish at c.1.5 Lb.
Enjoyable day but water height or competence the issue - I suspect the latter.
8 Trout
