Beautiful river but struggled to tempt a take. Plenty of LDO hatching and a few rising fish but all seemed fairly small and uninterested in anything in my fly box (perhaps it was the angler).

Only the occasional rise and not a lot of fly life. Four healthy and energetic WBT's, 7-9 inches, brought to hand and returned before ripped waders (watch that barbed wire) brought things prematurely to an end. A lovely little beat. All rises and takes were to a small Parachute Adams.

Didn't start until 1.30pm and did not see any rises at all for the duration I was there, 4 hours. River was flowing quite steady, no fish caught, tried nymphing to no avail. This normally is a good beat, I will be back later in the year, warm and sunny day.

Warm, light wind and a few fish rising. Steady takes through the day. 5 on nymphs and 2 on emerger pattern. All 11-13inches with one smaller fish. Lovely day, many thanks to the WUF office for advice yesterday.

Access difficult along bottom end, too many debris barriers to negotiate as both banks secured by new stock fences. Top end is too overgrown to fish.

Wild fish, most 8-10", best 14" on dry fly olives/upwings.
Warmish day, river quite low, upwings about all day in modest numbers but no major hatch so sporadic rising.

Same experience as AP, river quite coloured and slow but steady hatch. Few risers here and there. Tempted 2 at 8", one on a Hawthorn and one on small para adams. Missed several, trout seemed cautious today.

Certain areas held some rising fish but much of the river had none. A day with splendid conditions with occasional warm sunshine and only light upstream wind.
All fish but one came to the dry fly, in sizes up to 14.
Best fish about 1.5lb.
