My first time fishing this beat so I’m unsure of the usual level but the water was gin clear and trout were showing on the surface most of the morning. They were spooking very quickly so a long leader is what I would recommend and is what worked for me. By 11:00 it had become too hot and all action had died off. I look forward to fishing this scenic beat again

The poor old Ithon is looking low tired and dirty to be honest!!!! Hard going today with regards to finding any decent fish ....
Small stuff only to my dries and surprisingly
Two small chubb !!! Never seen them here .....
Lots of jnsect life on the go ... a very hot one , mid Summer temps today !!! This river needs a mega flush through .... and some serious water to make it fun again ....I'll leave this one till we get rain ...
Went on to thf Wye at Builth later, and managed half a dozen on.dries .... great fun !!
A lot of thr rivers are screaming for a top up .... looks like I'll be taking clients on the Wye and the Elan which is at least cold outflow from Cabsn Coch Reservoir.....
Right , time for a cold one !!! Pppffffffftttttt need this weather to break ..... and sooooooon !!!
