We fished the late afternoon and evening. Weather was windy and cloudy. The easiest swim to access was the furthest away, over a double stile but down to a beach area via a gentle slope. The other swims were big almost vertical drops but down to faster deeper water where I'm sure the fishing would have been better. We caught X10 Chub into the evening on the feeder with the odd larger fish. Nice beat and would return and try the more awkward swims but roped up!

School boy error today !!! Was almost perfect wild reservoirs weather, with a nice whippy wind too ... mild, muggy just perfect ....
However, muggins went to the Ithon instead...still fun, but tricky dry fly presentation ... in fact very tricky !!! She's up a bit on the level... not loads ...We need a good weeks worth of rain to give this old girl a good flush through!!!!!
Fishing was fun in some of the pools ... one pool j winkled three fish out of it ... A splashy rise in the slow tail out ... great stuff !! Then another in the foam lane and one more right up in the bubbly stuff !!! The other three were innthr bubbly stuff at thr pool heads ...If you can call them pools now, at just over knee depth for some of them !!!
Still a fun five hours sport ... slow going, waiting fof the wind gusts to die down, to get a cast in !!!
Six brownies, of the usual stamp for here to the net, and a couple of salmon parr !!! They're feisty little things and, more than happy to nail a well presented fly ..
In fairness ive had a few salmon parr here this season ... boades well to be honest !!!
Back on one of the Arrow beats on Sunday.... Happy days.......

First visit to the river. Water very low. Watertemp 16°C.
Fished from downstream riverbend to roadbridge.
No fish of any size seen fleeing or rising. Waded very careful. Overgrown with trees, hard to find any space to cast some distance with this clear low water. Tried small emergers #16 18. Upstream PT and Grey Goose nymph. #18 BWO. Not a single reaction. Light tippet 10/00mm. Don’t know where the twopounders must be hiding? Some Bwo’s hatching, saw a Danica dun. Not a good river in these conditions.

A very good but hard days fishing at Home fishery arrived at 11 probably a mistake as canoe traffic was horrendous will definitely fish late afternoon evening in future, tried several swims until I found feeding fish river is as low as I can remember and desperately needs rain.Fished more oxygenated water at downstream end Barbel ranged from 1lb up to 7lb 6oz and the chub was 5lb 2oz all caught on groundbait feeder with hemp and pellet and meat on the hook, the three other were Eels.

7 Barbel, 1 Chub, 3 Other
