Rain the previous 2 days had created some extra pace on the river which encouraged the fish to feed. The problem was this had also released a lot of floating blanket weed which collected on lines making the fishing difficult. On the whole an excellent 2 days fishing in a great setting. I have never seen so many Kingfishers in one place. Barbel to 6.12. Chub to 3.8

Arrived very late. Saw one fish rise and managed to catch it which was a great result. Very little water. Beat very challenging in terms of vegetation and access. It is exceedingly over grown with the stream appearing to disappear in places due to the amount of trees that have fallen over it. Lovely stream though with real potential. Will attack again but in higher light levels!

Two anglers caught Grayling and Brown trout on klink and dink. Most fish on the dink but a few on the klinkhammer with lots of splashy rises. Several of the grayling were in the 12 to 14 inch class and one of the trout was around 15 inches. Saw a kingfisher fly down the river. The river had a tinge of colour. The 2 others were minnows. All fish returned. A very enjoyable day.

I ruined what could have been a really good day by falling in the river.

I caught brown trouts in various sizes up to approximately 16 inches. Fishing was best in the afternoon. Wetflies were more productive than nymphs.

Wonderful day on the river. I went more for therepeutic reasons than to actually catch fish, so was delighted to net 3 wbt and 3 grayling- my first! All caught on the dry- a green bodied parachute-y thing that i have no idea what it's name is! Love this beat, will def return.
