Firstly I would like to show appreciation to the massive amount of work that has been carried out on this beat clearing numerous new swims and cutting steps in the bank it has improved an already excellent fishery well done to all concerned,now to the fishing late afternoon evening session and as I was the only one present I baited several swims and fished them in rotation but only one chub of 4lb and 2 eels fished until curfew to no avail.

River looked good and weather fair. Little surface activity and one small trout on spider. Enjoyable day at a lovely beat.

1 rainbow trout landed, 2 other hooked (incl 1x 3+lbs) plus 2 perch. Spinning in permitted area, fly fishing in western areas of lake, long walk. All fish fighting fit, jumping out of water and very healthy.

Great day at Whitney Court. All fish were caught using feeder tactics. River was slightly up on previous week after some recent rain.

2trout 1.5lbs and 3lbs both on dry fly size 24 olive

Small fish came to stick float mainly, nothing over 1lb , shame the lower peg are so overgrown compared with 2 years ago , unable to fish, this would have given us the opportunity to fish the deeper water
