I don't want this to be negative, just factual. 1/2 of the fishery (upstream of car park) cannot be accessed - high banks, overgrown, no attempt at creating swims.. This only leaves the downstream section - about 150yds available.
Due to the conditions the majority of this is 20-40 yrd wide channel....ok for roving, which was fine for me in waders and no one else fishing.
There are 3 swims suitable to settle in, but one is next to the water abstraction generator at the car park - noisy until turned off about 3pm . If there are other anglers fishing on the day, and these swims are taken, it will be a struggle. If work was done on the upstream section then it would be a more attractive proposition for the money.

Hard day fishing river level was real low, seen plenty of chub moving around only managed to catch 1, did have a good take which I think was a barbel took me into a snag and popped the hook, can’t win them all, I will return to this beat sometime

Frustrating day with some big hits amounting to nothing, definitely our Barbel opportunities. Overall 7 chub up to 5lbs on a mixture of float and feeder approaches using corn, meat and Krill pellets. An enjoyable day rather than a 'Red Letter' variety.
