Looked perfect, overcast and a good level. After this year's floods the fish were not in their usual haunts.
1 chub landed, 1 lost and a first for me ever here ~no barbel.
Had a fabulous chat with a trout angler returning to the place for the first time in fifty years where it a started for him.

River carrying some colour still and overhead conditions excellent. Saw one fish in the Vanstones but despite some confidence not a touch. My search for a Wye Salmon continues!

Mostly on trotted meat, including the 2 Barbel.

Fished near bottom of beat in the morning with just a couple chub. Moved to the glide at the top once the canoes stopped and caught steadily on feeder and pellets including a 5lb Pike who snatched.it on the retrieve.

2 Grayling

Not much happening today, trout are very cautious and rejecting or spitting out most of what I offered. 1 big Grayling at 16” , largest so far from this beat, came to a #18 Griffiths Gnat. 1 small Trout around the 7” mark.
Ps. Does the Foundation have any info on the Pontithel disaster? Seriously hoping there is a prosecution with a significant outcome. I have written to Fay Jones MP but have had no response!
Also wrote to NRW who did respond by saying watch their social media feeds.
WUF Note: We have no more information on the Llynfi pollution and are awaiting the result of NRW investigations.
