Hoping for some more water in the river after the big thunderous downpours of the last few days, but it was still very low with just a tinge of colour.

Wading on this beat is very easy, and I made my way up from the bottom, until the weather started rolling in and I called it a day. I really enjoyed some of the upper waters that I made my way to (just past the "island" on the map) and was disappointed not to be able to explore more of that - definitely one to re-vist.

Had 3 splashy takes to small dries, but didn't connect with any of them.

0 fish and 0 bites between 2 of us. Apparently it was supposed to be restocked today but the lorry has broken down. Spent a good few hours there and didn't see anything surface until late this afternoon. Bit of a waste of £30 but at least the scenery is nice

Only able to fish the morning but lots of action on a very pretty beat. River rising after the rain. Fish caught on trundled pellets and meat. Path marked on WUF map has “no footpath” sign next to it. So a bit confusing but probably a good idea not having fishermen clumping though the churchyard!
