Good day on perfect level river, all fish taken on pellet some on the float others on lead. Noticed this year that there was substantially greater weed growth than last year, which resulted in a number of fish being lost and some of the shallower faster swims being unfishable.

COULD ONLY FISH TOP SECTION OF THE CARPARK AS NO ACCESS TO THE RIVER AT BOTTOM SECTION ALSO
COULD NOT FIND TOP MARKER POST AT TOP THAT MARKS END OF BEAT. ALSO SOMETHING TO BARE IN MIND ON ENTERING THROUGH THE GATE TO THE CARPARK THE FARMER IS RUNNING PIPE THROUGH THE FIELD SO HAVE TO GO OVER A HUMP WITH A METAL GURDER IN IT SO WILL CATCH THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CAR IF YOU DON"T HAVE ENOUGH CLEARANCE

20+ Trout and 20+ Grayling all caught on long leader tight line nymphs. Nothing massive but a good average size.

Fished the end part of the day still warm no sign of fish nothing caught or touched but I suppose nice to be out

Very hot day all fish fell to normal feeder tactics.

Fished from 18:00 after very hot day, lost one barbel but otherwise very quiet. A small chub saved the blank.

One eel, one barbel and one happy son, who caught his first barbel.

Hot day, fished afternoon and evening. All fish caught late on from Legg Meadow Pool and Wood Crib. Caught on swimfeeder with meat or pellet. Barbel to 8lb 15oz and Chub to 6lb. Several larger fish lost. Others Eels.
