River very high and running very fast meant we were mostly fishing in margins. 2 nice barbel came out in the morning (from the lower field just before the houses) to 8mm goo boilie. One of 8.5lb and the other 7.5lb. Cows were a nuisance at times but beat in good nick other than that with easy access and good parking nearby.

Weather gods were on my side and I arrived at 1030 to near perfect conditions. Fished approximately 50% of the bank (track side)using a variety of traditional patterns under the guidance of Hywel Morgan. Zulu on top dropper as dabbing fly with GRHE on point all on a 5wt Floater and 5lb fluor leader. Missed 2 takes as flies decended/at surface before hooking and landing a beautiful brownie of around 18 inches in length - absolute stunner on the point GRHE. The fish was returned safely. Got snapped off after a vicious take later in afternoon - again on GRHE. Great day at a special place being mentored by one of the best on his home patch. Recommend fishing on edge of ripple if conditions allow- fish were mainly rising 15-20 yds out generally. Odd terrestrial fly about incl daddies.Best of luck.PS Angler on Llyn Teifi reported a couple of fish to dries
