Fished both with Dries and a single nymph. Cloudy day no wind and very pleasant. 3 x trout were small but one was between 2 and 2 1/2lb, this caught on a nymph. Found dries difficult to select as the trout rejected nearly everything I used.

Nice overcast warm day, lots of fishing rising. Difficult to tell what they were feeding on.
No wind, lake was like a mirror so changing to fish. Got 3 nice trout, best was about a pound.
Lovely location. Bibio and Diawl Bach did the business.

1' on the gauge. Too much competition from the village - dogs, balls, rocks and stone skimming over the best fly water (Poulston from the pebbly beach) - might it be an idea to put up a sign asking them not to 'disturb' the pool when there are salmon fishermen about ?
The Links Run below fished nicely but was probably also disturbed by the canoists, who were mainly courteous and helpful when asked to keep to the near bank. However most seemed oblivious to other river 'users' including Wildlife, some even playing loud music - what about the Canoe Letting Company, as a condition of their Licence, briefing canoists on how to behave when in the countryside and sharing access with others ?
