Cold day, but river in great condition most fish taken using heavy nymphs and for the last hour or so on dry fly. Great day.

I was fishing from 1PM till 7PM. Level of water normal or slightly high. It took me a couple of hours to find the best lure for that day or maybe fish started feeding better towards the evening? :) I landed several decent fish. Method spin. Overall very successful day.

Barbel in the late moring and chub in the afternoon and evening. All decent fish. River was higher than I was expecting and swims I've fished before were not accessible. Definite autumnal feel to the day.

Fished a rising river on the float. Lost more fish than we landed. a great day on a beautiful stretch.Many thanks

Conditions seemed very similar to yesterday, when we struggled at Fownhope 5. What a contrast today though with regular bites all day. RW caught 16 smaller barbel up to 6lb 10oz. RB got in amongst the bigger fish with 7 barbel up to 9lb 12oz with a couple of 8lb fish as well. All caught on a variety of pellets with feeder tactics.
