fished again today with no luck!! We did see a fish head and tail in the Spring Pool but that was it. Some trout and Grayling were rising.Yet again a nice couple of hours away from the house but disappointing not to see any more fish or indeed catch one

Slow going on low, clear river. Still love the stretch though.

Hooked and lost 3, careless. Poss feeding on tiny emergers, very fussy indeed. Went through whole fly box. River low despite rain yesterday. Very Small pale wateries (?) coming off frequently. Did not get to bottom pool.

One large chub caught free-lining meat, several other chub on mainly legered meat or pellets. Two barbel between eight and nine pounds and a third of just under six, all on legered pellets. One good barbel lost when free-lining meat.

Greeted with a low clear river on our arrival at this beautiful beat, which made fishing very difficult. All the fish caught came to pellet feeder tactics , largest Barbel 9lb 8ozs. Lots of wildlife on show , including a pair of Otters, Buzzards, Peregrins and Kingfishers.

River is very low. All trout up to 10 inch caught on nymphs. Very nice couple of hours on the river.
