Pegs on this stretch had to be cleared of vegetation before we could fish. Access to pegs is difficult and in wet weather would be dangerous . We also came across peg s full of litter but realise this is problem caused by anglers. We felt that the price paid to fish this section of the Wye was very poor value. This fishing was poor with 3 anglers all blanking but this due to hot weather spell

River as expected very low and sluggish; considerable lengths of streamer weed showing. Fished with 2 x 8mm hair-rigged pellets behind a 1.5oz feeder, filled pellet & hemp. First chub no bigger than the length of my finger, couldn't believe it took my bait. Followed shortly afterwards with a 6.5lb barbel (landed quickly before recovering strongly in the net, although it took some time). 3.5lb chub followed an hour later. Sun popped up after 3hrs fishing and ended the session. At this point, I could see my swim clearly, and that I'd caught fish from the only clear spot in my swim. A pre-visit if possible, prior to fishing would've helped. Swim depth of circa 3 - 4ft deep. Lovely stretch. NB; dead salmon (6lb) sadly floating belly-up in the swim.

Another bright and hot day. Feeder fishing accounted for all the fish. Best barbel was estimated at 8+ with a couple of the chub close to 4lb.

Good 9 inch trout caught in deep pool by bridge. Other refers to Dace. Very hot and bright. All fish caught in shade. All fish returned quickly and safley. Pleasure to be stood in the water. Lunch in the Bell even though they have pinched our car parking. They admit its not there land as they cannot serve food at the tables ! However still a great day fishing.

Heard lots of sea trout jumping but they are not easy to catch. Just managed one fish on a Black and silver needle fly, which was returned.
