Rather bright sunny day, river was quite low but coloured. Tough day. 3 barbel to 8lb 8ozs (disappointingly lost 2), 3 chub to 5lbs 9ozs all on standard feeder tactics. All fish in lovely condition. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Second day on the same stretch, much tougher today, bright sunshine and the fish were few and far between, still a beautiful stretch of river, well managed, and plenty of swims to choose from, all in all an excellent weekend!

Struggled to get a bite for most of the day in the bright sunshine. Roved around quite a bit to no avail so decided to settle into a swim, get some bait out, and hope they started feeding in the evening. They did and for the last hour it was a bite a chuck. Biggest barbel was 9.5lb and the chub was over 4lb. Nice stretch, plenty of swims can be a bit noisy with the pump etc. and you do get fisherman on the other bank. One of my favourite stretches though and will definitely be returning.

Very hard day on our favourite stretch of river, up until lunch thought we were going to have our first blank ever there, river was high, coloured and rose during the day, Lucky Stone (our favourite swim) was virtually submerged. The weed is still prevalent but is at a stage where you can pull out of it. Whoever goes next they can thank us for dredging the river for them !
Anyway, a fin perfect barbel and chub saved our blushes.
One phenomenon we did witness for the first time in nearly forty years of fishing was somebody actually swimming along the Wye, she was very pleasant and said hello but I can think of better things to do on a Sunday !
