Arrived later than planned so only had a few hours. Fishing for barbel and chub but failed to catch. Few bites but overall very quiet. Stunning surroundings however.

Great spot with easy access. River was slowly dropping and it took a few swim changes to find the fish.

River was in good condition and the promised rain didn’t show up. It was overcast and 19 degrees. My first time on this beat and I would recommend it. I fished the middle and down stream section. There is a good variety of water from fast runs to deeper pools but rather easy wading. I fished a New Zealand rig with black klinkhammer and red and black nymph. Caught 4 fit grayling in the deeper water to about a pound and regrettably an out season trout to a pound and a half in the faster water. All returned without them being taken out of the water

Unseasonably hot day, fishing steady all day with all fish on pellet and meat. Good barbel of 10lb the highlight of the day. All fish in excellent condition as always.

4 in the party, all caught but sadly only 2 caught the barbel. River levels lowest I have seen on this stretch. Beautiful day warm and sunny but too bright over midday period. Can't wait to come back. Top end too shallow and weedy to fish.

We could only manage half a day today, so we targeted the Pike in the slower water at the downstream end. Unfortunately it was a bit snaggy in that area, but we did have four takes and landed one 10 lb Pike.
