Just a morning session nymphing. River still a little high and brisk making wading a bit of a challenge and no sign of any fish at all. The very busy otter probably had better luck than I!

A tale of 2 sides, started on the lower half of the beat, czeck nymphing and struggled, water was gin clear and had one or 2 pulls on a long line. Headed up over the talons in the some calmer water and still no luck so decided head to the top of the beat. A good move . As we arrived I noticed the odd olive coming off so switched to duo and had almost instant success on the dry in the bubble line.
A great early afternoon

River at much better level than yesterday. Early LDO hatch then lots of MBs through afternoon til 4.00. Only pricked one on the dry, then landed 3 on nymph and one on spiders. 4 Fish 12 to 14 inches. Can’t seem to do very well during the hatches. Feisty beasts tho.
