Had a great day at Lower Carrots, the directions were easy, parking was fine although there was no car pen in the field (we didn't have any problems). A very well managed and beautiful stretch of the Wye, caught 5 Barbel to 9lb and a few chub all on pellet in the deeper water. Would defiantly go back there again.

It's called catching not fishing?? What a odd, brilliant day that was! 36 barbel on the feeder & 10 on the stick float. Believe it or not I could of caught more! Most of the fish on the feeder were small between 1 & 3lb. The decent fish came on the float, barbel between 5 & 9lb including two big chub nudging 5lb. A truly ridiculous day!.... By far my favourite method was wading across the river fishing the stick float!

Had a brilliant day, started slowly but things got going in mid afternoon, plenty of Barbel including fish of 10 lbs 5 oz and a couple of nice nine pounders. One fished in the Meadow and one in the wood, plenty of action to both rods. Looking forward to returning here in the future.

The river looked in good condition and I was looking forward to a good days fishing. Whilst I was setting up an otter rose to the surface in front of me and then disappeared back under the water. It was a quiet day, however I did loose a barbel in the weed later on and missed two good bites late afternoon whilst trying to catch up on the Cricket at the Oval. Still a very enjoyable day watching the abundance of wildlife, look forward to going back soon.
