River still high and just dropping. Busy on the stretch with 5 anglers. Difficult in finding a swim that is fishable due to the high water.
Plenty of salmon running through.
Caught steadily during the day on pellet and feeder approach.

Hard going. Fast and colored. Some swims to dangerous to attempt fishing but there are a couple where you can get down the bank safely. Single pellet under overhanging trees worked.

Blank. Early morning fishing MTAA's water in slanting sunlight after the storm. The Trostrey gauge was at 1 foot, slowly rising, and the water a quite dark peaty colour. Two fish hooked on size 6 and 8 Bann Shrimp, and both lost, one at the net. There you go. Or there they went.

Fish just not interested in rising and few hatching fly .Third fish of the day taken in the afternoon on deep fished nymph and probably 12 inches..
A most enjoyable day in a lovely part of the country .

Caught two Grilse today (Wed) 5.5 & 4.5 lbs, smaller fish was silver fresh. Both fish took a 1"gold mylar tube fly and gave a good account of themselves. River then rose 9" in two hours which unfortunately put pay to any further fishing. Several fish seen ascending the weir.
