Water at a good height and fished well but despite using floating,intermediate & sinking line tactics ,did not touch a thing nor did I see any fish moving unfortunately.Late afternoon changed to trout rod so that I could at least feel something on the end of the line.One trout of just over a pound & broken by a bigger fish late on.Path to the top of the beat was a pleasure having been recently strimmed;Beware the wasp's nest in the hollow tree trunk 1/3rd. of the way up,it's just at head height.I always enjoy this beat as the runs last forever & are rel. easy wading. Oh well maybe next time.

1 bite, no catches. Nice day anyway, it's a nice little spot

River high very coloured 2.5' falling to2' evening. Hen fish caught on yellow and black FC single hook at 6pm Safely returned.

Perfect conditions. Overcast and bit of colour in the water from rain pŕevious day. 15 + wbt to 8 inches on adams parachute, caddis elk, iron blue dun and occasional nymph. Absorbing fishing amongst the kingfisher, dippers and heron. Beautiful top sections.

15 Trout

First time on this beat. River was very low in parts, weather mostly cloudy all day. Stunning valley, completely secluded. Was not quite sure where the beat starts but probably just me. Great variety of water from deep pools to long straights, ending in what resembles a mountain stream at the top of the beat. All fish caught on duo, all on ptn but many missed on the sedge dry. 3 grayling at least 1lb one pushing 1.5lb, 2 trout similar size. Roughly same number missed as brought in. Brilliant fishing and topped off by an otter sliding past not 5m away whilst I was eating lunch. Thanks.

Cool day, river low and clear - has the recent rain not fallen on the Edw catchment? Occasional flies hatching, and some trout rising. Very wary though, eventually landed 4 ,to 12", but missed many more. On small grey and olive paras.
