A hard day. Water looked just right, but bright, hot sunshine made it a tough day. Very few fish rising, - all fish taken in the faster water throughout the beat, and all taken on very small PTNs or GRHEs. Really enjoyable day on a terrific beat.

5 Trout

Caught 2 salmon 18lb and 13lb. Both with spin tackle with Japanese lure for Cherry salmon.

2 Salmon

Good spinning conditions, fished rapala and flying C through much of the beat, no takes of salmon seen.

The conditions seemed to be good all day with highish clear water but apart from some trout that took an interest in my shrimp pattern there was no action for me. Perhaps I should have stayed until dusk but it was a long journey back home

Great day! By lunchtime the hatch started and continued through to a fantastic spinner fall 'till dark.

Very difficult - no styles for entry. Lots of barbed wire. Also 2 large fields to cross with 2ft. hay. Very tiring for the older man. No fish seen or caught

Late report from earlier this week,10lb Salmon to a Posh Tosh from Boatside.

Fantastic day, river at a good height, warm overcast day , took 3 salmon in succession from the same lie, all fresh bars of
silver , all 10 lbs plus ,first time to take 3 double figure fish from same lie in 50 years fly fishing a great credit to WUF and
a big thank you ,finished off the day with another 10 lbs plus fish in the evening from a different lie .

Fished-10.30-14.30.-6-trout-caught-including-3-of-them-around-the-half-pound-mark.-All-caught-on-a-Ke-He-pattern-with-a-black-hackle.-Weather-misty-with-occasional-drizzle-with-a-breeze-picking-up-now-and-again.-Lovely-spot-which-didn't-disappoint-after-having-it-in-my-mind-to-fish-here-for-a-few-years-finally-got-round-to-it.-Very-boggy-in-places-which-I-avoided.-Hopefully-be-back-again-some-time.-Good-job-there-is-a-decent-track-to-walk-to-this-lake-otherwise-may-have-thought-twice-about-venturing-into-the-murk.-Glad-I-did-though.-Thoroughly-enjoyed-it.-Thanks.

Salmon lost after first cast of the day at Neck of Spring and 2 salmon seen in Bachawy Pool, had to pack up at 3pm as long journey after three days fishing. Feel if we had both been a little more on the ball we would have caught on Gromain as conditions were perfect but were feeling a little exhausted after the previous days activities!!
