30 inch fish first on fly Bann Shrimp. Fish not taken out of water, swam back strongly. School moving up river and into Lugg.

River high but clearer than on Friday. One tiny trout caught at gravel bend, another seen and a decent salmon - 8lbs or so - jumped.

One 8lb hen Salmon to a SPF Shrimp fly at 8am this morning. Water clearing nicely and a great day to be out on the river.
Many thanks again to the beat owner! We had a really great mornings fishing.

Enjoy the beat, didn't see any salmon although the conditions were good, caught I small sea trout around 3/4lb.

First time fishing this fabulous beat. My thanks to Joe the gillie for his advice & assistance. No fish for me, but I saw a few.

Had a nice afternoon with 4 barbel around 6lb and a 4lb chub. I found the swims very difficult as I have mobility problem so will try to find a beat with easier access. Nevertheless a lovely afternoon, and my first barbel

The water was at a good height today about 1/14 on the gauge, being wadable but not suicidal! Once again, there was very little sign of life all day. On 3 occasions, I was aware of humidity suddenly rising and instantly there were fish rising, albeit only once.

I concentrated on trout and caught 20, most of which were up to 7 inches, but I caught one good one of 1lb and another of 1 1/2lb which looked a bit thin. This one didn't fight well and seemed to need oxygenating when I returned him. A few of the 7 inch fish however, leapt all over the place when hooked! I also caught a good grayling of 1lb, which was the only fish I caught as a result of stalking.

There was no sign of salmon at all.
