Located a couple of miles downstream of Ross on Wye, Upper Hill Court is approx 1 mile of left bank fishing split into 2 main parts. The upper section is accessible by vehicle right to the river bank, the lower just a 50m walk from the parking area. Specimen barbel have been caught here in recent years and although the access is a little wild in the early summer, the stretch is more accessible and fishes very well in winter. Access is varied with some well marked pegs and some more difficult. In wet conditions, a dog spike is advisable.

A relatively short stretch but it contains three noted salmon catches: Hom Pil; Pashley’s Crib and Hom Stream. It is suitable for a single salmon rod or two people fishing together. The banks are overgrown in places but with waders the middle section is all wade-able over bedrock and gravel. Hom Pil and Pashley’s Crib are fishable easily from the bank.

Half price evening tickets are available from 1pm each day from 16th June to 31st August. Fishing from 5pm
