Fished 10.45-4.30. Slow at first but fish were still taking nymphs late in the day. One parr, the rest nicely conditioned fish up to 1lb or so.
Three fish to a Jingler , the rest on assorted nymphs.
Very little fly life apart from a small LDO hatch mid afternoon.

Fished from morning until 1pm and produced a solid blank! Seen a couple of raises but failed to tempt. Nice views though.

7 Brown Trout. Three on the dry (DHE size 14, 16), remainder on heavy nymphs.

Two hatches, one of a smaller fly at 12-1230, which solicited a reasonably enthusiastic response. The second 1400-1430, of a larger fly - LDO type thing, with a few March Browns seen, which solicited a very enthusiastic response.

The lake was obviously very full and quite windy, limits access a bit at the bottom end. Tried all the usuals, diawl bachs and others, did try a kink on top too, but no joy, one pull on a Kate Mclaeren but didnt stay on..

River was high but just fishable at last for a few hours before the Edw started coming in a grey and all rising once again! A few trout to the heavy line and tube. Many thanks all for arranging access.

River high and pushing through very fast which made wading almost impossible. Will try again once the river level drops.

The weather was perfect for once, but the water level was 18" up all day, so Dan Y Parc was a bit featureless, and no wading across. But I found a riffle near the right hand bank in or near the Six Oaks pool, where the trout were taking well-sunk nymphs. Caught two, including one of about 2½lbs which was very hard to bring to net in the heavy water. Hooked but lost 3 or 4 more. Plenty of flies in the air and on the water, but I didn't see a single rise from 10.30 to 3.30.
