1st time on this beat, water level up about 4-5 inches, beat is not so deep so fast shallow runs. Took a swim of choice a good 3 hours in had a decent showing of Chub, took a walking break returned to the trusted rolling meat to find the Barbel had come on the feed. Decent size Barbel ranging from 6- 8-02. 5 Barbel in total along with 25 Chub. Will book again.

5 Barbel, 25 Chub

After reaching the bottom of 'the hill of doom' and then looking at the fishery, I decided as it was pouring with rain not to fish, but to attempt the drive back up before things got too wet, as the last part was steeper than I expected and I was genuinely worried that I might be stuck.

Glad to say I made it with no issues this time, in a Fiat Ducato motorhome....
Looks a beautiful place to wet a line though.

(I'm glad I wasn't at Home farm as the track there is already looking muddy and both cars that came from that fishery, lost traction at the bottom of the hill at first when turning left to get on it.
