Beat:How Caple Court
Fishing:Coarse
No. of Anglers:2
Lovely day on this beat, fishing started well first thing in the morning with the river running though at a reasonable pace so 2oz leads were required to hold the bottom. Once the sun came up the fishing became much more difficult but not complaining as it was nice and warm for a change! As is usually reported the times to fish were the first couple of hours in the morning and the last couple in the evening. Barbel to 8lb and chub to 3lb, all fighting fit and fin perfect, they really do test your tackle to the max. Definitely recommend this beat as fishing is good and the river and surrounding area is stunning

Superb day for late october! River was at good level with a tinge of colour, clear sunny day. First peg top of the beat produced 3 fish. Moved after about 3 hours into the shade hoping the fish would respond to cover, and they did! Rest of the day none stop action! Barbel to just over 9lb and chub to 4lb! Really quiet beautiful beat.

Beat:Lyepole
Fishing:Winter Grayling
No. of Anglers:1
Warm with sunny intervals. River nice flow a little coloured. Grayling caught on red shrimp and beaded brown hears ear.
Note, beware for barbed wire where fencing has colapsed and been dragged into the field. Not a problem but easy to miss when watching the river.
Good day.
